CASH DONATIONS FOR FOOD FOR THE FRONTLINERS AND UNDERSERVED COMMUNITIES. In support of the government’s call to work together in addressing the effects of the pandemic, Jollibee Group Foundation (JGF) immediately implemented the Jollibee Group FoodAID – COVID-19 Response on March 16, 2020. Its parent company, Jollibee Foods Corporation (JFC), announced the donation of P220 million to provide food for those in the frontline – health workers and checkpoint personnel – as well as families in need. Donation to frontliners were in the form of ready-to-eat meals while for those in the communities, ready-to-cook food was distributed to families in need in partnership with many NGOs and agencies.
With the extension of the Enhanced Community Quarantine up to May 31, 2020 and the expected slow-down in the economy during the recovery phase, Jollibee Group Foundation will continue to pursue its mission of ensuring that families will have food on the table. Donations made to JGF will go towards providing meals for frontline health workers and families in need.
